Thinking of the question of choice

Recently in the news we have heard that in America, that in three states Georgia, Alabama and Missouri. They are making abortion illegal, now yes I do have my opinions about this. First and foremost its beyond backwards thinking something that I thought we as human beings had moved beyond.

Children are indeed a blessing for those who want and desire them, and are off course essential for the human race to continue. But there are some negatives to having them, expensive, time consuming and unlike getting a pet like a dog or a cat that will live for what 4–8 years and lets face it are a lot cheaper. They also have the benefit of being able to be given to a new home if you feel like you made a mistake in getting one. We humans make mistakes, and when it comes down to having children all it takes is one drunken random fling a condom that doesn’t work (if you can find / have one) and OOOPSY DAISY. That is of course between two consenting adults, what happens if a young girl gets rapped and gets pregnant with the child of her rapist? Under these laws this girl would have to bring the child to term, then if she still didn’t want it have to give it up for adoption. First and foremost that's 9–10 months of her life GONE, then there is the pain of her having to give up her child something that as a man is a pain happily I never have to go through #benefits. Is that fair on her or the couple who just wanted to have a good time and made mistake? Might as well send them to jail for being human. No these laws to say that they are inhumane is one thing, even though they believe its humane. Because law makers have always believed that their thoughts are the most important when it comes down to what we do with our bodies, let alone what women do with their bodies.

I will ask you to imagine the life of that innocent child, growing up to find out that they weren’t wanted by their birth parents, or that their biological father was a rapist etc etc etc. All I can say is its great for those over priced Quacks who study the mind and charge you a fortune to sit down and talk with them. Because those children trust me they are their future clients as they will be laden with more issues than even Kleenex has tissues.

Its hypocritical to say the least, if thats the case with abortion then going that logic vasectomies should be banned as well, sure its not the same but it is theoretically killing the chances of a man producing a child. Also take into account that for all the discussion of when a human embryo is alive. I mean seriously people, most doctors will tell you that the latest an abortion can take place is 20–25 weeks into the pregnancy or at the end of the third trimester. This is the opinion of medical professionals so can be taken as fact, you know FACTS those things politicians tend to dislike. Politicans whose points of view will be biased, based on their own at times twisted political or religious perspectives when it comes to Republicans in the US it tends to be both. In the US where viagra is covered by health insurance so men get to have their fun, free of charge and good for them.

But before all this goes far too far from what I had originally intended, there was one man some call him a poet, a gangsta rapper, an artist, a genius and many other things. Tupac Shakur was all this and more he was also a scholar and a gentleman. A man whose death came far too soon and a man whose influence is far reaching still his impact on the world of music is unquestionable, he is missed by all those who have been affected by his words and music. Why might you ask do I bring a rapper up in a blog about abortion? Well in his song “Keep Ya Head Up” he wrote / sang the below verse:

When brothas make babies, and leave a young mother to be a pappy

And since we all came from a woman

Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman

I wonder why we take from our women

Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?

I think it’s time to kill for our women

Time to heal our women, be real to our women

And if we don’t we’ll have a race of babies

That will hate the ladies, that make the babies

And since a man can’t make one

He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one

So will the real men get up

I know you’re fed up ladies, but keep your head up”

For me it’s one of the best verses in music or poetry that deals with this issue, the core lines as far as I am concerned are; “and since a man can’t make one, He has NO RIGHT to tell a woman when and where to create one”.

Its not for men to tell women what they can do with their bodies, its like gay marriage or gay sex if you don’t like it don’t have it. If two people decide to have a child GREAT good for them, they have accepted the HUUUUUGE responsibility of having a child and raising it. Which as I have already mentioned is no small task. We all know friends and family who have produced their own off spring they couldn’t be happier. It is a decision between two people in the end of the day if they want to have a child.

However if its the other way around and they really don’t want to have a child, but they have gotten accidentally preggers, then its simple ABORT, ABORT, ABORT.

Put it this way I am more than likely to get a vasectomy personally to stop any little accidents from coming about. I don’t want to produce off spring or ever have any children of my own. Really not the life for me, so I am probably going to avoid the chance of any little accidents. But there are those out there who do want to have children at some point with the right person and when the time is right.

I think I have gone on long enough on this topic now and made my point clear, that medical options like abortions are actually a good thing. If a couple don’t want to have children, then why should governments force them too? By making it illegal to for the woman to control what happens inside her body, which is none of their business to begin with. It’s like we are treating women purely as baby making machines, not adults capable of determing their own fate and that of any children they don’t want to have. It’s not the right of governments or people to decide what people should do with their own bodies. Esspeccially when it comes down to having children at this rate there will be more unwanted children in the care of the government or charitable organisations who try to get them adopted. Telling women of all ages look here is the deal your utterus = our business…you get raped look forward to seeing the face of your rapist every single day in the child he put in you. Have a one night stand forget to use protection get ready to be mama. This is precisely what these governments and religious fantatics are doing, and its not acceptable at any time in our history esspecially not now when the world is already over populated.
