Sobriety: 0% Alcohol 100% NONSENSE: Part 3 Alcohol-Free Spirits

Welcome to part 3 of this series, where I explore the world of alcohol-free alternatives.

In part one, I ranted about the insanity of this new world we live in where to sell something non-alcoholic and make it appear to be grown up, all that companies need to do is to slap 0% Alcohol-Free or Non-Alcoholic on to a product, and it will sell.

In part two, I examined the world of alcohol-free Beer and how it came about, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s one of the healthier soft drinks on the market. The healthiest options, of course, being sparkling water (soda water), unsweetened tea, and coffee.

In part three, I will be examining the new age of alcohol-free spirits or, as they should be called, glorified botanicals and elixirs. After all, what is non-alcoholic Gin? It’s water-flavoured with juniper berries or other botanicals. The same thing goes for non-alcoholic Vodka, it’s water with subtle wheat or corn flavours. So, following that not-so-brief introduction,. Let’s get into it.
